Guest guest
Hi ... I'm sure they don't want to start Ed on any treatment just yet because he's not been diagnosed. He still has to have a muscle biopsy and the Prednisone would mess that up. His lab's are still normal .... they'll need something to go on before they start giving him the drugs. I can't understand why it's taking so long to get him in to see the guy who'll be doing the biopsy. Since Ed doesn't have his lab reports at home, maybe he's just a little above the normal range and it's not enough for the doctors to be concerned about. I can tell you that when I was like that I had a lot of weakness and very sick. So, on some individuals it doesn't take much of a elevation in the CPK dept to have an active disease. I think you should rest today kiddo... I hate it when my back hurts and I know mine is from very weak muscles ... maybe it was making all those cookies... rolling out the dough and putting each one to your mouth...LOL, Ya think? Anyway, I hope it goes away very soon. Too bad you didn't have someone around to give you a massage and put some heat on it. Take care, Vicki
