Are you going to the APCO national conference in August in Orlando? If so, buy ANY shirt from 911 CARES and come visit the PSTC booth, we'll give you a gift with a value of $5-$20! How cool is that? You may have heard about little Abby Milani, she was burned in a horrible accident a little over a month ago. Here is an update: Hey everyone, things are going fast here. Yesterday Abby walked from her room all the way to the playroom. She played with some toys in the playroom, and even tried to eat a piece of play bread from the play kitchen they have down there. So far she has eaten mashed potatos, mac and cheese, a hot dog, green beans, corn, and apple sauce. We are getting ready in just a little while to get her up to walk again. She has to wear a face mask for about a year, and this is to keep pressure on her grafts on her face to minimize scarring. So far it doesnt seem to be a problem for her to wear, she has even been eating with it on. They say she will have to wear this all the time except for eating and bathing. If that is what it takes then so be it. She will eventually have to wear pressure garmets on the rest of her body which will also do the same things as the mask. It looks like she will be having hopefully her last procedure for now, on Thursday and Friday of this week. They say maybe another 4 weeks here and then maybe she could get to come home, lets keep our fingers crossed. No matter how nice this place is, it is definately not home, and that is where she needs to be, as well as myself. They are doing therapy on her twice a day to keep her joints and muscles moving to keep from her getting contractures. This will have to be an ongoing thing even after she leaves here. I think we have a pretty good support staff to do all these things, it will just be hard and long, but if it makes her better, then we will do it. I will talk to you all soon, Love, Abby and Thanks as always for your ongoing support of 911 cares! www.911cares.com <http://www.911cares.com/> x105
