Guest guest
Hi, List, Remember a few days ago when we were discussing whether " cardiomediastinum " is a word? Here's what she had to say on the topic: --- Re: cardiomediastinum is OK > Rennie, > > I knew, when I was doing my Rad work, that I'd often transcribed > " cardiomediastinum " but couldn't document it at the time of your post. > Well, I rifled through ALL my Rad books and finally found it (source: > Dorland's Radiology/Oncology Word Book for MTs - pg. 52 ... > > lists: cardiomediastinum > cardiomediastinal shadow > > Hope this helps you .... > Shel > TO REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THIS MAILING LIST send a blank email to nmtc-unsubscribe PLEASE VISIT THE NMTC WEB SITE - http://go.to/nmtc
Guest guest
That was an interesting interpretation. When I was in x-ray school, we were taught (by Dr. Tristan, chief radiologist at Polyclinic Medical Center in burg, PA) cardiomediastinum referred to the heart (cardio) and great vessels, tracheal, esophagus, thymus, lymph nodes, and connective tissue included the in mediastinum.
