Guest guest
OK... yet another training question. My department recently started trying something new and I am looking for some opinions.... First, a little history: Our basic class is 4 weeks long. Mostly it is administrative learning as much as possible and taking quizes. There is no practical simulations (to speak of). This year they tried something new and for 2 weeks after the basic class ended one of the training officers took the class into the classroom and reviewed and did a lot of practical scenarios. This was the only practical training they had. This is what I have a question about: I am recently starting on the shift that has this new process and one of the things they have decided is that all the trainees will be taking administrative calls by themselves, unmonitored by a training officer though one is supposed to be close by. Now, I certainly have my opinion, but I would rather hear other opinions about what anyone thinks about this.
