Guest guest
Hi All, I realize this is a little off topic, but I thought it was worth sharing, especially since the incident itself had an impact on emergency services. I have been seeing the commercials on TV for the World Trade Center Memorial that they are planning to build in honor of the people we lost on September 11th, 2001. I'm glad to see that they are honoring them, and I made a contribution to it. Anyone interested in checking out the web site can click on the following link: http://www.buildthememorial.org/site/PageServer?pagename=homepage2 The terrorists may have taken the Towers, but they never weakened our spirit as a country. I have always said that 9/11 was a tragedy, but that one good thing that came out of it was a strong resurgence of patriotism toward this country. I have always been proud to be an American, and I have certainly done my share of things to promote this country since 9/11. I consider it my way of " thumbing my nose " or " shooting the finger " at the terrorists. I feel that this is a worthwhile cause, and I invite anyone interested to check out their page and/or to make a donation. I regret that I never got to visit the Towers before 9/11, but I hope one day to visit the Memorial. Jimmie P.S. Please feel free to forward this link to others. Thanks. __________________________________________________
