Greetings everyone,

We're winding up the 'meta-discussion on marijuana' thread tomorrow. Thanks

to the many people who offered their two cents--and therefore made the

decision about what do do with this topic. If you have something to

contribute, do it soon as we're ending the official discussion.

Barring last minute revelations and based on what people said (important!

this is what the majority of people requested, either publically

orprivately) here's the plan for the marijuna discussion.

1. First, we are going back to an unmoderated forum tomorrow. Therefore,

we're asking first that everyone please respect these rules. It's important

to note that in the vast majority of replies we received to our query

people doubted that marijuna was beneficial for Graves and many people

worried

about marring the reputation and usefulness of this list. In the interest

of balancing those concerns and our commitment to a relatively free-wheeling

forum, we came up with the following:

2. The group has decided that discussion of marijuana should be permitted,

with the following guidelines:

A) Discussion will be limited to precise, medicinal uses of

marijuana. In other words, no general, vague discussions of the glories of.

If you're

using this as another drug or herb or supplement, we'd like it discussed in

that manner. For example, how much you use, why, when, what it does in

relation to graves.

Posts on marijuana *must go through a moderator for approval*.

This means you send your post to at bjcraw@... or B at

graves_support-owner and we'll aprove it and pass it along,

or we'll send it

back to you with comments. If people post on this topic without going

through a moderator first, we will either remove that person from the list

or return to a moderated forum.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time and energy to reply. Our

guidelines genuinely reflect the overall sentiment of the list. This made

our job easy: we simply read and responded to what was a clear majority on

this topic.
