Do you have a handset plugged into the console as well as the headset?

If so, try unplugging the handset. Not a perfect solution, but it will

help until you get the real technical problems resolved.

911:: Motorola 800 mhz Radios

WeWe recently purchased 2 of the newest Motorola radio base stations

(MCC7500). The problem we have is the continual echo of yourself when

wearing a headset while speaking on the phone. I understand that in the

radio world it is commonly referred to " side tone " . This occurs when

the headset is hooked in to the phone and radio. It works fine on the

radio alone but when you plug into the combined factory radio jack on

the console you get an awful echo of yourself when talking. We have

tried wireless and wired headsets with no difference.

This very distracting and is a safety issue. I was wondering if any of

you technological gurus have ever heard of this or is it something new

with this new radio. Motorola aware of it and they are working on the

fix. I have been to a couple of conferences and it appears this issue

has been around since the inception of this radio. Any info would be

greatly appreciated. ,_._,___
