Guest guest
Hi Pam! San is such a wonderful city! I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy it! The only time of year I would recommend NOT visiting is summer, unless you are used to extreme heat. It is not uncommon for the summer days to reach 110 degrees! I get very confused on counting the weeks, but I was told to take the first day of LMP (for me Jan. 7th) and count from there. When I do that, today is actually the end of 13 weeks. I know at my u/s on March 28th, my Dr. said I was 11 weeks and 3 days. So, that would make this Wednesday 13 weeks and 3 days. So, next weekend 14 weeks will have been completed. Also, 40 weeks ends up exactly on October 14th. Are you counting from LMP or from retrieval? How have you done with Maternity shopping? Isn't it funny to put the pillow on? I just laughed! Take care! elle > Elle > > I am glad your shopping trip went well. I have a friend that lives in > San . I'd love to visit her sometime. > > I am starting my 13th week on Monday. Guest guest
Joleen, Thank you!!! When we were transferred here we were told it would be 1-3 years. This November it will have been 2 years. The others in my husbands position before him were all here around 2 years. So...we'll see! I just hope that we either get transferred early this summer or not until the beginning of the year. Since my due date is October 14th, I can't imagine having the added stress of repatriating at the same time! The hospital here that I go to is the American British Cowdray Hospital. All of the Doctors there have studied in the US and all speak English. I was very nervous about the medical care here at first, but I have found it to be wonderful! I bet Japan was a very interesting place to live! This has been a wonderful experience and opportunity for us. I wouldn't trade this experience at all, but I am ready to get back to the States. Living in a foreign country, especially a Third World country, really makes you appreciate what we tend to take for granted in the States. I agree with you about learning more about the culture at the hospital than anywhere else! I am keeping you and in my prayers! I hope she arrives very soon! Keep us posted and take care of you two! elle > Elle, > > Glad you're back! It sounds like you had a great time! How long will you be > living in Mexico? When I was pg with my ds we lived in Japan. Guest guest
Thanks Pam! Can't wait to check it out! How was Easter at your MIL's? How are you feeling? Have you started to exercise yet? In Mexico, Easter is a really big holiday. In fact, most businesses close for several days and school lets out for 2 weeks! DH had last Thurssday and Friday off, so we jsut enjoyed the long weekend together. I spent way too much time on my feet Saturday and have been paying for it ever since! I was exhausted yesterday and am still tired today! Take care! elle > Elle > > Check out www.amazingpregnancy.com > > They have a site you can go into. Guest guest
Dana, I completely understand your fears. Unfortunately, it doesn't go away...or at least any time soon! A friend of mine told me that the worries never go away, they just change. Man, was she right! Even after getting past the first trimester, there are other fears! I think it all prepares us for the worries of Motherhood, because that lasts a lifetime! The good news is, you can ask anything here! And, there is so much support! I think between all of us, someone has experienced whatever you may be asking about! Take care of you and baby! elle > Elle, > > I can't believe I made it over here!! Guest guest
Thanks ! I will take all of the prayers possible! The closer I get to Monday, the more nervous I get. I understand why my Dr. recommends this for me (mc, ep and 37 yrs. old) and I agree that if the baby would require any special needs equipment, etc. we would be better prepared now. I know the chance of anything being wrong is very slim and the chance of anything happening to the baby is very slim. I just haven't been able to get past the fact that if anything did happen to a perfectly normal and healthy baby, I would never be able to forgive myself. Amnio is a HUGE decision and not one to be taken lightly. I've spoken with lots of my friends who have had babies recently. It is split about 50/50 on having had it done and not having had it done. Either way, none of them had any problems. Also my friend that had 4 fetuses and had to reduce to 2 had CVS at 12 weeks. CVS is much riskier and they had to go into 4 sacs! I will be relieved when the test is over! Then we have to wait 2 weeks for the results! UGH! I really appreciate your prayers! elle 14 weeks 3 days > Hi Elle, > Good luck on Monday! Guest guest
Pam, What a great idea! With your talent, what about crafts pertaining to babies??? Thank you for thinking of me. I am trying to think only positively. I really have such a good feeling with this pg, that I just refuse to let anything go wrong or be wrong! Isn't your AFP test the first week of May? In some ways the time flies by and in other ways, like waiting for test results, it just seems like forever! I agree...waiting is the hardest part! elle > Elle > > I would love to incorporate some of the craft that I like to do into > a home business. Guest guest
>Amnio is a HUGE decision and not one to be taken lightly., Hi Elle, That statement is so true! and I have been debating this since midsummer (when & Vicki went for their amnio), not only is it a difficult decision for the parents, it's really tough to get support once you've made your decision because it's such a controversial topic. We still have not come to an agreement on whether or not to do amnio, that is why I'm looking into the 3D ultrasound. Hopefully,. Dr. Check can talk him into it. I will be keeping you, the baby, and Mark in my thoughts and prayers for Monday. What time is your appointment? maria

Guest guest
Pam, I have been waiting to buy a swim suit too. I am afraid I will buy too small. I have a regular one piece I have been wearing but it is getting tight now and my pool is warm enough to swim in so I guess I have to find a suit. I saw the cutest suit at a maternity store a few weeks ago, it is like a tankini but it opens near the belly, length wise. Just to show a little of the belly. Unfortunately, I am getting that dark line that some pg women get on their belly so I am not sure if I should show it off or not? Anyways, the sales lady at that store drove me up a wall so I will probably look elsewhere. Good luck finding something! You are so cute asking about fluttering and movement...I know I had a bizzilion posts about it...anyways, I felt fluttering around 16 weeks, I was at the zoo in San Diego with my dh after walking a lot I sat down. Try laying down flat at the end of the day, and drink some juice or have a sweet snack. Also try moving from side to side, that has worked for me. It feels like an internal tickling?! Let me know if you feel anything, I am excited for you! 24 Weeks
Guest guest
If I wouldn't have gained 40 lbs I would be in a better position to get back into my old clothes...the only thing was I was BAD because I knew this was my last baby and I'd be on a diet for the rest of my life...so I more than enjoyed myself!!! oops! I confess, that I watch her sleep too much, but also I hold her while she is sleeping during the day alot, hours and hours...but hey, this baby stage won't last forever, right?
