And try to get lots of rest when you get home at night, sounds like you'll need every drop of strength you have over the next few weeks. Amy Work Hi Folks, Well reality is going to set in tomorrow. Guest guest
Dear Calotta, Amy, , Lynne, , and Pierre Thank all of you so much for the great thoughts. I have packed, read, and completed my lesson plans for next week. We will see how it goes. Interesting, this week. Friday, my husband showed me that my morning pill box still had the Thursday pills in it. I panicked and called the transplant center. That day was my lab day here, so they said to just get the labs done and wait to see what happens. To say the least, I was in a stitch and very upset. Anyway, this morning when I got out my pill boxes to fix it for the week, I realized that I had started the week on Sunday instead of Monday because I took Saturday pills today. So, I did take the pills on Thursday. Yea!!! I am so relieved!!!! I'm glad that it worked out that way because the lab here had a Stat order and I have not heard from them yet. It's a good thing that my kidney was not in trouble. I will never get one of those tests done on a Friday again. Re: Work Dear , Best if luck to you tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Guest guest
What an enormous relief that " meds panic " turned out to be no cause for alarm! This is where pill boxes are a real blessing cause the " misses " catch up with you. Knowing what day it is does help tho! Something similar happened to us recently when confused the days. I was so upset thinking that he's missed his meds until we realized what had happened! We got a bit lucky, however, because the day's med's he grabbed were also the meds for a " no pred " day! I realize our situation is nothing like yours, but I think the pattern of error is similar. Good luck on your first day back at work! I hope that everything goes very smoothly. Guest guest
Hi , That is an interesting thought. Ask your Neph what could happen if you lets say did forget for a day or god forbid even two. Does the body start to reject immediately or do you have some residual left to hold you over for some hours? Good Luck at school. Even though you haven't had these students yet, hopefully they will all use their manners and give you a little break. Let us know what your Neph says about any missed meds. Guest guest
I believe that the literature says to let them know emedaitely if you forget a med. I was scared right away when I thought that I forgot it. Good thing that I didn't. I would think that your immune system might discover that something was there that wasn't supposed to be. The immune system might start to complain to the kidney. That I wouldn't want. sarah Re: Work > > > > Dear , > Best if luck to you tomorrow.
