Guest guest
Hi , I had the tight chest feeling while I was on T3 but ONLY when I was on low release T3. Once I changed to cytomel, that went away, as did the breathing issues, fatigue is much better although I find my stamina is not what I would like it to be. I am now with a Rt3 of <17 last time checked. When I had the horrible fatigue, I was depressed because I didn't feel like doing anything. If there is not another cause for your depression, I would say you will see improvement there too. I was on cytomel I believe 13weeks not including the time I was on SRT3 which I feel was useless. Hang in there, you will get there. My Rt3 Ft3 ratio was 11.5 and now it is <17 so it will happen to you I am sure. It does take patience though. Venizia > > So, the tight chest, breathing thing can be high RT-3? And the worn-out, fatigued feeling too? I guess I have 8 more weeks to get that cleared out. I feel sad and depressed. All RT3 stuff? Anyone? And did it clear out and you felt better? > Thanks, >
Guest guest
Thank you for taking the time to answer me Venizia. I am on Cytomel but only just raised from 5mcgs to 10 mcgs. My ratio was (is still?) 5.9 so I know that is really bad. I did have worse depression but I think you are right, the depression is that I WANT to do stuff but when I try I get too exhausted. So you feel that things changed for you noticeably after the 13 weeks when th RT3 cleared? I have the tight chest, asthma-kinda feeling and I am on Cytomel. It kinda got better for 6 weeks and then started up again. It is a hard thing to ignore but what else can you do? Venezia, have you tried Corvalen for the fatigue? > > Hi , > > I had the tight chest feeling while I was on T3 but ONLY when I was on low release T3. Guest guest
No I have not tried it. I don't say I have fatigue right now, I do not have the stamina I am used to. Say for instance vacuuming steps this morning 14 of them, I was exhausted. Now I am fine but during is not like it used to be for me. I am still upping my T3 though. 5mcg is a small dose. What kind of schedule are you on? Are you doing this through a doctor or on your own? What were you taking for your thyroid before T3 only and how much? Guest guest
Oops forgot to mention...I also got the asthma kind of feeling and I do not have asthma. I think Val told me it is air hunger which means you are not on enough T3 yet. When I increased it made a difference but I do not feel qualified to tell you how much to increase. Maybe Nick can help you while Val is getting her computer fixed. Venizia > > > > Hi , > > > > I had the tight chest feeling while I was on T3 but ONLY when I was on low release T3. Now that sounds like you might need an increase. Maybe some of the RT3 cleared. Dorothy
Guest guest
Corvalen does help a lot of people to restore strength at a cellular level. You might want to go to corvalen.com and check it out. I was taking 5mcgs Cytomel waitng for my temps to stablilize and I just went up to 10mcgs on Monday. I take 5 sublingually after breakfast and 5 sublingually at 1PM. I am also on HC. I get the scripts from doctors but I am following dosage instructions from the adrenal group and Val. I was on Armour, only 15mgs for 4 months, went up to 30mgs for a month and got RT3 tested. It was high and I went to T3 only on Aug. 1st. Then went up to 10mcgs this past Monday. Are you on HC? > > No I have not tried it. I don't say I have fatigue right now, I do not have the stamina I am used to. Say for instance vacuuming steps this morning 14 of them, I was exhausted. It is a hard thing to ignore but what else can you do? Were you on the same dose if T3 for 6 weeks?? You can normally edge up at roughly weekly intervals unless you are getting adverse effects Nick
Guest guest
Hi Nick; No, I went from Naturethroid to 5mcgs. Cytomel on Aug.1 because of high RT3 and then my temps stabilized and I went to 10mcgs this past Monday, the 17th. When I was on Naturethroid and went up to 30mgs, after a week the breathing got better and then I started to feel worse and worse. Then I went on Cytomel and now for about the last week the breathing thing is back. > > >I have the tight chest, asthma-kinda feeling and I am on Cytomel. When I was on Naturethroid and went up to 30mgs, after a week the breathing got better and then I started to feel worse and worse. Then I went on Cytomel and now for about the last week the breathing thing is back. that was still 17 days, you could have gone up earlier unless you were feeling adverse effects. Most people seem to be able to cope with T3 increases weekly which are tracking the reduction in their own T4 production. Most people going increases have got up to 75 mcg by the 6 to 8 week mark, their own thyroid production is then shut down, and they can then adjust for dose by symptoms, pulse, and temperature. The majority of people end up on 75 to 125 iif they have no RT3 resistance issues, they may end up on significantly higher while the resistance clears. Each time you have an increase check your pulse, if it's over 90 or so then wait for it to come down a bit. Many people find that taking T3 4 or 6 times a day works better so your initial increases can be putting an extra dose in, after that you can start increasing each dose. You will need aa ferritin level of at least 60 and adrenal levels that will support a stable temperature before you will be able to tolerate the thyroid hormone in big enough doses to feel well. Guest guest
I have MVP and my pulse is crazy anyway so don't think the pulse thing will be much help for me. > Most people going increases have got up to 75 mcg by the 6 to 8 week > mark, their own thyroid production is then shut down, and they can > then adjust for dose by symptoms, pulse, and temperature. You'll have to find other ways of knowing what's too much for you then Nick
