Cocoa butter (don't laugh)

Hi folks,

I'm new to the list and read with interest, several digests back, a recipe for

GF/CF cookies made with peanut butter. The author of the recipe (whom I can't

credit because I printed out the recipe and took it home) said that one could

use choc. chips in the cookies so I went looking at ingredients in semi-sweet

morsels and saw that, while most of them appear to contain milk, Ghiradelli's

appear not to--that is, if cocoa butter is NOT a milk product. So, is or isn't

cocoa butter a milk product. Sorry to be so dense/ignorant.

Also, what about masa? I thought that was a corn flour but, uhm is that true?

(The choc. chips didn't have masa in them! I found this on a chili mix label.)
