" I need chestnut flour and can't find the nuts anywhere. Digestive

Wellness doesn't have the flour. It is for the " Dunking Biscuits "

recipe from SCD recipes. It calls for 2 ounces of chestnut flour and

the rest is roughly-ground almonds. Any ideas...possibly

substitutions? "

Consider pecan flour.

Please use

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/legal/legal_illegal_a-c.htm

as a reference. The chestnut flour is illegal. The website

www.scdrecipe is 100% aimed at adults with g.i. issues. Kids on scd

have much more sensitive and more damaged guts than adults, it seems.

I made this recipe several times before the intro diet - I used

almond flour instead of chestnut flour, and used chunkier almond

flour (put almonds in food processor but not until too finely

chopped) for the roughly-ground almonds. These are truly delicious

cookies (biscuits is the English name for cookies by the way - in

case anyone didn't know).
