Guest guest
Correction: Did I say " mickey mouse ears " ? My uterus looked more like bunny ears. Sorry, I'm not thinking straight since the only food that tastes good to me right now is Lucky Charms and Fresca. Yikes! Guest guest
Welcome back, Mindy! Congratulations on your pregnancy :-))) Try not to worry too much about this. Sounds as if your OB is treating you with caution (and that is so much better than getting surprised with a 33-weeker. You are forewarned this time). It seems to me as if most of us who have had resections here have a remnant left. Seeing a perfect inverted triangle is less common. When I had my follow-up HSGs, we could clearly see the original cavities fill up first . . . then the cut area filled in after that, leaving a 1-cm. septum remnant. Just remember how those of us with " leftovers " are doing quite wellin pregnancy! Heck, I have a septum that still stretches from fundus to cervix. The saving feature is that it is disconnected from front to back, mostly. At almost 32 weeks we are hanging in there, baby and I. Even if little has been done to your septum, you already have a great record of carrying a baby to 33 weeks. And she has stretched things out for this baby, too. There is always a threat of repeat PTL in anyone who has had it, but maybe correcting a septum will have corrected the reason why you had it with your daughter. I have never been able to see how my babies were implanted with respect to the septum until 9 weeks along, but others have seen it as soon as 6 weeks. Hang in there . . .
