Guest guest
, I think your right about getting meds out of your system because I woke up today with a screamer sinus headache and started itching again! I feel sooo crappy today, I called in sick. I figure my body is going to have to adjust to not taking the Protonix but I thought I would feel better today. I think I'm such a fungal mess that I really will not get better until after explant. I am just trying to hang on another 2 dang weeks! I have now called in sick twice in the last two weeks, not like me. Thank God I'm the office manager, not much they can do about it. I had to take a darvocet in order to get out of bed and I'm thinking that might have triggered the itching......who knows.....I'm still in my " vicious circle " . I have a vision of taking my implants when they come out and blowing them up with some TNT! Cherie > > > > > > Cherie- I'm so glad that you found the source of your itch. > > > Whooweeeee!!! Guest guest
Cherie, So sorry you are still itching! The reason I mentioned that is because my sons girlfriend was taking some meds recently that her doctor said was very safe with almost no possible side effects. She took it for the entire course then 3 days after she stopped she began itching and had a feeling that her throat was closing. She went to ER 3 times before finally seeing an allergist. He said it was the medication and that it would take 4-6 weeks to get out of her system. He told her that it would probably actually get worse about 2 weeks after she stopped taking the meds. He did give her something to calm the reaction while it lasted. She is better now finally after 3 weeks. This might not pass a quickly as you want it to. I would still suggest seeing an allergist if it persists. > > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone! > > > > > > > > > > I finally figured out my itching issue. Guest guest
Hey , Thanks for the info! That is encourging news actually, I was just beginning to think I might not be on the right track but maybe I am. I have been taking Protonix for at least 5 months and they upped by dose last August. This may be something I have to go thru for while, my explant is in two weeks so I'm in hopes of getting better after that. Guest guest
Cherie- I don't know if this would help at all. But, I'm allergic to a lot of medications and whenever I get the itchies after taking one, I take some benedryl. Takes the itchies away. Have you tried that? ~Krista > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I finally figured out my itching issue. Guest guest
Krista, Yes, I did try benedryl. I took it last Saturday and it seemed to work but when I took it Sunday, it did not...even when I upped the dose. It was strange too, because I usually get very, very tired on benedryl but this time it made me wide awake. It has never done that before. I'm a mess! Guest guest
Oh Cherie! I know how you feel. Since I've gotten sick from these stupid things, medications seem to have the opposite effect on me too. The other night, I took a tylenol PM so I could get a good nights sleep, and it kept me awake all night long! I just laid there all wired! It was like I felt like I needed to go run a marathon, but deep down I was exhausted! I've been taking PM for years every now and then and it's never had that effect on me. We just need to get these stupid things out. We are so close now! ~Krista > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I finally figured out my itching issue. Guest guest
Krista, I'm glad to know that I'm not just loosing my mind, so it's the " norm' " to have adverse reactions with " toxic boobs " ? Ok, now I know. I don't know about you but having my surgery close is the only thing keeping me going these days. How long have you had your inplants? Guest guest
Cherie-Yes, our bodies are all out of whack right now. That's why I didn't want to start any detoxing until after explant. I did try the epsom salt bath a couple of week ago because I thought " what could it hurt? " and I was MISERABLE after! It made me really nauseous (more then usual,) and made me really achy and itchy. That was it for me. After explant, when I start detoxing I'm going to do it on Thursday evenings when I have Friday and the weekend off of work so I know I have a few days if I have an adverse reaction. I've had my implants for 4 years. I didn't have any problems for the first 3 years, then after a deflation this past spring my health just took a nose dive. It's been a very frustrating 9 months. I'm just ready to get these toxic things out of me and start my recovery. Yes, knowing my explant is so close is what is keeping me going right now. I'm on the countdown everyday. I talked to my boss this morning and she asked me if I was nervous, excited, or how I was feeling and I said a little of everything. I told her it's like when you clean out your garage or basement.....you have to make a bigger mess first before it is actually clean and organized. That's how all of this is for me. The surgery is like making a bigger mess (sorry not trying to be gross.) But, once it's over you'll be so much happier and content. We will get there!
