Guest guest
Louisa, This definitely could be die-off, so I think you should keep going. What kind of yogurt are you giving Spencer? My kids aren't eating yogurt yet, so I don't have a whole lot experience in this. I'm hoping someone else will chime in. But my gut feeling is that you should stick it out for a week or two, and then go from there. Gia Mom to Jack and SCD 9 mos.
Guest guest
" This morning Spencer had his " second " tiny spoonful of yogurt. He had very loose stools, but I have seen no changes in behavior. Should I continue? " Yes, but do keep an eye on those stools. Guest guest
I agree with Gia. Since you aren't seeing any negative behaviour, I'd continue using the yogurt, very slowly. It makes sense that as the " good bugs " take up residence in the gut, they will evict some of the " bad bugs " ... and they need to be flushed! Sue (From Pickering) Mom to , 4.5, formerly? Guest guest
Hi Louisa, Yes, the loose stools could be die-off. 1/4 of a teaspoon is a good staring amount and skip two days in between instead of just one. You really do want to start with a small amount. It may help if the yogurt is dripped (before measuring) some find it easier to tolerate at first.
