This is a 9-month-old with gastroenteritis and diaper rash. Doc placed s/l

" dura derm " over the excoriated areas for the next 24 hours. She also wrote a

prescription for cholestyramine 10% ointment.

.... my D & D has nothing on this, and a google search yielded a couple hits.

Here's what one has to say ...

" Collagenesis has developed a broad-based family of proprietary products.

Dermalogen®, DermaplantT, DuraDermT, and UrogenT are now commercially available.

These products are derived from donor tissue and provide an off-the-shelf human

tissue solution for treatment of facial contour defects, incontinence, pelvic

floor reconstruction, and plastic and reconstructive procedures. "

--- really not sure this is what I'm looking for, but it sure sounds like " dura

derm. " Anyone familiar with this?

TIA!!

Hi ,

There is such a thing as a Duaderm patch or bandage. My daughter had to use

them on a bedsore after having surgery. Although I used them all and I

don't have the box any more.

I was able to find Duaderm on Google too if you'd like to look it up there.

Hope this helps.

I really did think the type of bandage we got from the hospital was Duaderm,

but I did find a lot more info on DuoDerm going back to Google and looking

again. So that probably is it.

I remember the pharmacist looking at me crazy and wondering what I was

talking about when I went to the drug store to buy more. They are expensive

too!
