Guest guest
Donna, Well, of course I think it's best to focus on the CT report! ;o) As you know, CEA is kinda a strange marker which may not have a clear interpretation. I know you'll feel better if the next one stabilizes or drops a bit. Just curious, what did the onc say about this (or have you not had time to discuss yet?) Were the CEAs <<21.8 (3 weeks ago) to 32.6 now>> done at the same facility/lab? If not, it is well known that different labs can get different results (up to a point!) and maybe that could offer a partial explanation. IF he's getting response to Oxal/Xeloda in only 3 rounds, I'd say it's a VERY GOOD sign and very positive indicator for more response in the future. Switching from the Camptosar was clearly the right thing for him to do (congrats in successfully picking the " correct " next step!).
