Guest guest
Hi Jeanie, Not fun to have to go through a second biopsy. I had two myself, but they were 11 years apart. I guess technology changed enough in the ensuing 11 years that a definitive diagnosis was the goal of my second one. Your experience of your kidney function going down with an infection is quite normal with IgAN. The question is, does it return to your baseline after you recover from the infection or not. Hopefully it does. Let us know what your doctor recommends for treatment next week.
Guest guest
My doctor doesn't want me on tablets for my cholesterol at the moment until they find out what is happening with my Kidneys. He doesn't want to complicate things. I have been told that I don't follow the normal path of IgA which makes it more difficult to treat me and because of my reactions to medicines, so there might be some element of risk they say but I am prepared to accept that. Guest guest
Jeanie, That is wonderful that you have switched to temp work and can make your own hours! It helps to not be stressed about missing work for appointments. I agree with you 100% that having control over your life is very important!
