Guest guest
Hi Ruth, I'm sorry to hear that you have nothing for your pain. I o so remember the days, weeks, years that I had nothing for pain. What really burns me is a Drs. refusual to prescribe narcotics based on what they want ot do as opposed to what a patient actualy needs. It's a minor form of medical malpractice with major consiquinses. For instance I have been legitamatly diagnosed with FMS a medical or health condition in which the primary symtom is chronic moderate to severe pain. Pain a symtom Drs. should moraly and ethicaly treat. A Dr. should abide by his or her hippocratic oath and not allow a person to suffer just because they don't want to do one thing or another. One Dr. told me he would not give me narcotics because he did not WANT to make me an addict. No Dr. can make anyone an addict. To become an addict one has to first abuse the medication for a purposes other than of that killing pain. With abuse comes the craving for more then the body becomes addicted to the drug and needs more in order to avoid painfull withdrawl. While I had Percadan for a fracture(orbital blowout) I used it to treat my FMS as well. It took 10mg. of oxycodon to kill the pain. I never got HIGH because the pain was still there just at a tolerable level,a level that was not distressful. There it is in a nut shell! If I tell a Dr. this or that medication didn't work who are they to say it did? If I honestly say 5mg. isn't strong enough who are you to say it is just because it is for your pain,The gist of is Drs. believe they are being lied to because thats what thier being taught these days because of the addiction epidemic. I'm sure your aware of this but I had to write it down for myself. I HOPE you get something for your pain sooner rather than later................................Love --------------------------------- Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo!
