Guest guest
How many eggs are " too much " to take a day? I am worried his colesterol (and mine!) will go to the roof!!!! Isn't coconut butter (oil) supposed to be also bad for colesterol??? My son ate 4 eggs yesterday (on the introduction diet) and today I really tried not to give him any, but what else can we eat for breakfast? (chicken soup or hamburger do not sound apetizing in the morning...)
Guest guest
Hi Coral, Lots of people eating gads of eggs (more than four a day) reported that their cholesterol actually went down when on SCD. It had more to do with cutting out all the foods from the SAD. Please see http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/cholesterol.htm for more info. Also, this is probably only a temporary thing once you start to add other foods. I haven't heard that coconut oil is bad for cholesterol. Please see http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/coconut_oil.htm for some coconut oil info. Guest guest
Hi, I have coconut oil and on the back of the container it's states that is does not raise 'bad' cholestrol. Also that even tho it is high in saturated fat, that it is converted into energy. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I'm not a doctor nor I am any kind of diet specialist, but my cholesterol has dropped since I started the diet. I eat at least 4 eggs per day. My cholesterol dropped from just over 200 to the 160's.
