Guest guest
Rita, Good on ya, sweetpea. Glad you are bouncing back, and hey, it's what we all need sometimes, basic support from our friends. Loving hugs, MM
Guest guest
A huge hug and Thank you to everyone!!! I'm kind of in no-mans (to be politically correct) no-person's land atm. I've not been diag'd as a Lupie, but damn I'm beginning to wonder! I am on blood thinners and will be for life as I do have congenital anti-thrombin III deficiency + APC-R (activated protein C resistance) + Raynaud's, now the thing with aphasia looms, the miagrines I've been dealing with (and not always so well) ever since I was a kid. I first noticed minor speech problems when I was an emergency operator back in the mid 80's I used to pull long shifts and think it was just me being tired so I never addressed it, or thought I'd have too (same year I had my first DVT btw). I will be asking the neuro about mini strokes - as I wonder if that's what I had on my 35th b'day - no I didn't go to a doctor, I had an emotional breakdown at the same time and I was terrified they'd commit me or put me on drugs or both and I wasn't going there girlfriends Ever since then I have had bouts of speech dysfunction and I think it's one of the reasons I turned to writing because I couldn't speak properly and became self-conscious of it (even though everyone around me said 'don't worry about it') I would become quiet, but in writing... Thank you all for the advise, hugs and prayers (and the links!!), it has helped me 'bounce' and I feel positive today and I'm all fired up and have a new range of emotions to explore for my writing - lol, the story I've been writing just under 5 years now is going to be a darned epic at this rate!! You folk are the most wonderful, kindest and loving group of people I've ever been fortunate enough to meet - warm hugs back to each and every one of you!!! Rita Yahoo! Search - Looking for more? Guest guest
Dear Rita, I have found in England that unless the bloods show exactly what the Rheumies want to see then there is nothing wrong with you. Thats why I travelled 100 miles each way to London to see Dr Graham , he diagnoses on symptoms not blood tests and he diagnosed me with SLE APS and Sjogrens on symptoms and inflammatory bloods only.I had previously seen 8 Consultants prior to him.Don't despair you just have to be persistant.
