(BRAG) and we went across from Bainbridge to St. 's (near

ville, FLA)..Lots of gorgeous guys in spandex. I let loose

a little bit...bleached my hair and dyed it magenta..bought socks

to match. Wore a slinky black dress and sang in the talent show.

Flirted... As to eating..I decided that I could have a good time

without eating to excess...I wore a calorie monitor for a day

before it gave out on me, and I was burning 3,500 calories in

about 6 hours of pedaling, etc. I ate a few cookies and ice cream

once in a while, but I tried to focus on eating fruit. One night I

drank too much beer, but the next day I was riding like the wind..

dunno, maybe the beer replaced electrolytes and does a bit of

carbo-loading. Very flat ride, but very hot, also. I haven't done an

official weigh-in yet, but unofficially I'm prettu sure I've lost 3-4

pounds, not to mention my thighs and butt are rock hard.

Sounds like SOOOO much fun. I keep saying one of these years I'm

going to do the MS 150 from Houston to Austin. Everyone says these

rides are a blast. I've just started doing any workouts, so I've so

a really long way to go, but you are such an inspiration.

Yep, I'd think bike riding would to great things to a butt.

Sounds great. I treat myself pretty regularly. Almost all the

manicurist in Houston are Vietnamese. I guess I just thought it was

that way everywhere. LOL!

Diane,

Great Job on the ride. I've always dreamed of doing a ride like

this, but I've never been in good enough shape. Maybe the ride

across Rhode Island or Delaware would be good (small states) :-).

Anyway, you should be quite proud of yourself.... terrific!!!!

Men, women in Spandex, it's all good.

When you " draft " or ride right behind someone, you have a very clear view of

their hind quarters....

and if their shorts are old and a little worn, you can actually see flesh.

Not only is everyone in Spandex, but they're sweaty.

I think everyone looks good in black bike shorts, which should NEVER be worn

with underwear.

They act like a girdle, holding bulges in. They enhance the curves. There

are people who weigh as much as any one of us on this list weigh doing this

ride, and they all look pretty good in spandex. The only exception is my

friend Mike, whose legs resemble pipe cleaners, and who tends to wear awful

looking socks..I figure if He can't go for good-looking, he's gonna go as

far in the opposite direction as possible.

Wish I had some photos....

Moral of this story: Biking is good, verry veeery, good.
