Mine does I made him get on the scale after me too though. He's challenging me he says he can go from a 38 waist to a 36 waist in 3 months. He has no idea what he's going to do to get there. I said I can fit back into my 18 jeans in 3 months but I know I can probably in 1 month if I keep on working at it. Sue
Guest guest
Mine does. Our scale is a balance beam type, and I leave the sliders set at my last weight, so I'll know if I've gone up or down since I last weighed in. Terry

Guest guest
My fiancé knows my weight. I didn't want to tell him at first, but then I figured, what the heck...he sees how big I am anyway, so why should the number matter? He gets just excited about my weight going down as I do. (It's not that he thinks I need to lose weight, but he knows it's making me a happier person.) It's actually quite encouraging because I know he's there to cheer me on/sympathizes with me. It also helps hold me accountable because he asks me almost every day what the scale said that morning. Guest guest
I've told other people my weight and I'm always told " you don't look like you weigh that much " . I don't know if they are just trying to be nice or what but when I've seen myself in pictures lately I think I look like I weigh more. Guest guest
Mine probably has an idea, I tell him I much I've lost but he kindly doesn't ask how much I weigh or what I started at. When I get closer to goal I'm freer with that information. Sue At 07:11 PM 3/12/01 -0500, you wrote: How many of your husbands/so know how much you really weigh? Guest guest
Mine does. I was really ashamed of that fact when I was my heaviest. Now I'm always pestering him with my weight and he wishes he didn't know!! Guest guest
I have always been open about my weight. ANYONE who asks knows my weight. LOL. I always figured if I could lie about something small like my weight (I wish my weight were small) that I may be more inclined to lie about big things. (Like maxing out the credit cards). My kids always pick on me about being so honest. Guest guest
Do you mean because we tell them or it's one of those things that men don't care about or can remember? I'm not sure mine knows how tall I am or what I weigh or exactly when my birthday is, but it's not because I haven't told him. Here's a better question: How many people here actually DO NOT (or did not) know what they or their S.O./Wife/Husband/other weighs? That is, how many have been in the situation of their weight exceeding the range of a regular scale? OK, don't answer...I have been in that situation, and for some reason, I don't trust a scale that has gone completely around and says I weigh 20 pounds. Working in an industrial setting, I have the ability to weigh myself on a scale that weighs high enough, but my wife is frustrated when she goes to the doctor's office and weighs more than their scale will show. Think I will end up buying an industrial grade scale with a 500 pound capacity...big $$$, but how else would I do it? Huggy Bear Meat is murder - go vegetarian! WAIT! Vegetarians murder plants, so that won't work either. REALLY make a difference - eat rocks, glass, and small scraps of metal.
Guest guest
Yes, I always know what MDH weighs withing 2 pounds. He does NOT know what I weigh, at least not from me. He has diabetes and since he started taking the pills for it he has really packed on the weight. I have begged him to try atkins but he won't. So nothing more I can do. Does he take Glucophage? it is the only diabetes med that actually has a record of aiding in weight loss as a side effect per Dr. Atkins. Guest guest
You can get the carbs out of the house and make it more difficult for him to eat the wrong things. You can cook low carb so that he is on his own to get enough carbs to get out of control. My Dad had diabetes, and Mom enabled some of his bad habits with food. Don't make that mistake...you may help him prolong his life. HJ ----- Original Message ----- > I have no idea what my husband weighs but I thinks its alot.
