Guest guest
Yea, I am here in lurk mode. I have an IEP for on Thursday - I'll post about that afterwards. Not much new here.... and I are watching cartoons this morning. Two weeks ago we did a road trip to NC and spent some time at the beach (had to buy new shoes for as he ran to the shore before I could get his off and of course time with his oldest sister. I still have to figure out how to get him out of the car for potty breaks (for me - he'll go when he has to but refuses to budge when I need a break!). With the other kids out of the house, I've become his #1 buddy - and love every minute of it. has been doing a weird thing lately - he removes his shirt, turns it inside out and puts it back on with the tag (or the stamp) in the front. URGH! At least he waits until he is home from school to rearrange his attire, lol! and > Haven't heard from both of you in a few weeks... everything ok??? > > I miss you on the list > > > >
Guest guest
glad to here from you... I know I have a bit of fight with the school board on my hands... going over the Evaluation report tomorrow with the Advocate... making plans for our draft IEP to help with the IEP I want scheduled the 28th.... they want self contained life skills... I want regular Kindy... luckily since I did not have an IEP going in she is in reg kindy and I can use the stay put rule if we have a big fight on our hands.... even with Gaskin and the fact we live in Pa... they still do not want to provide the appropriate supports and > > >> Haven't heard from both of you in a few weeks... everything ok??? >> >> I miss you on the list >> >> >> >> >
Guest guest
Ann-Marie, Remember if you do not agree at an IEP meeting, ask for mediation. Let the state folks come in and educate the educators Seriously, all the problems seem to come from stuck -in -the-70's-theories mindset administrators. They need to get these individuals out (unless they keep up with best and current practice) out of being a part of our children's team. Many are nearing retirement age - will we see better administrators as the old ones age out? I hope so! and > > > > > >> Haven't heard from both of you in a few weeks... everything ok??? > >> > >> I miss you on the list > >> > >> > >> > >> > > > > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.0.344 / Virus Database: 267.12.1/136 - Release Date: 10/15/2005 > >

Guest guest
sounds great with all the new stuff going on with you.... gratz on the new job.... I have a meeting tomorrow afternoon with the advocate to go over the evaluation report and make a game plan.... the IEP is scheduled for Friday at 9 - 9:30... the director for special ed in elementary schools just told me that she needs to be at a meeting at the admin office by 10:30... does she really think with all the issues and concerns I have already expressed, that we will get this done in 1 hour or less????? I think we may have IEP part II and III coming up Re: and > Hi, > Got a new job which I love and got off to middle school (which he > hates) and amanda to hs which she loves. > > My computer at home is really almost dead and going on the computer has > not > been fun.
