Guest guest
Dominique, Congratulations Sweetie! Your first baby picture! That was a moment you will never forget, I'm sure! When I went in for my first u/s with this pregnancy, it was very early. My RE said to not be alarmed if they weren't able to see anything. Part of me thought he was just saying that because he knew of my history. But, right when he did the u/s, there she was! I immediately started bawling my eyes out! After 5 long years and a ga-zillion u/s's with them saying that my uterus was "empty", I'd finally gotten to see one where she belonged! So, enjoy the blissful feeling sweetie! You've earned it! {{{HUGS}}} 34 weeks

Guest guest
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I don't think your especially negative at all. It is very hard after everything you've been through to just accept that everything is okay. I still felt pretty pessimistic until I had a second u/s at about 9wks and saw something in there that resembled a baby and had a heartbeat! I still have a hard time with negativity some days, but am slowly gaining confidence. I think you will gain some too. It just takes a while to sink in. I have no idea about the corpus lutuem. I was so into knowing where the baby was that I never even thought to ask and they never said anything about it one way or the other. -AmyR
Guest guest
Dominique, Congratulations sweetie! I'm so glad that everything is just where it's suppose to be. Are you going back again in a couple of weeks for another one? I know I did, just to make sure there was a heartbeat. You will be surprised how much things will change in a short period of time. And no the worries never stop - I speak from experience. Love & hugs, Jo-Ann u/s results!! and the gestational sac was in the uterus!! It was such a relief I started crying. She saw the yolk sac and what might have been the fetal pole, but I was a little upset she couldn't find the corpus luteum. She said it's not uncommon to not find it - anyone have any experience with this? We also got our first baby picture in a cute little card they give to new pregnancies. It still feels so early, but I'm glad things are where they're supposed to be! Do the worries ever diminish or am I just especially negative? Guest guest
Dominique, That is great news, I am so happy for you. The worries never diminish, I am 29w and still worry every day! I guess that is part of becoming a parent, we will worry about our little ones forever. Glad you got to see the baby and a photo too! Guest guest
Dominique - What wonderful news! How far along are you? My first U/S at 5w3d was a disappointment, b/c we could not even see the yolk sac, but the one a week later was great! Don't worry about CL. Most doctors don't even check it. I asked to confirm which side I ovulated from (b/c I suspected it was my ep side), and it was true. But if I did not ask, the RE would not have checked. No, worries never stop. Now, I am anxious about feeling the baby move, and waiting for the U/S. a 18w3d

Guest guest
Dominique... I came home and looked for your post... Came home and looked again!!! I don't remember them saying anything about a corpus luteum with either of my first two ultrasounds. Everything sounds great!! Congrats!!! Guest guest
Way to go Dominique!! I'm so happy everything is where it's supposed to be! That's the first step, and no, the worries never stop...but it is all worth it! I can't help you on the corpus luteum, my first ultrasound was at 8 weeks so she looked like a gummi bear....
