Guest guest
Okay, I'm not worried or anything, but I am curious. Hubby had the MMR vaccine on Friday. I asked the GP if there was any danger to me or precautions I should take because of my Graves. The answer was no. In 1992 I had a routine physical...2 days later my doctor called and asked me if I ever had chicken pox as a child. I did not, so he had me come in for blood work. Turns out that the assisting nurse at my physical came down with chicken pox the day after my physical. My blood work showed that I had had chicken pox as a child, dr said it could have been a very mild case that went unnoticed. Anyhow, about 2 weeks later I developed shingles. Are ya'll saying that if we are exposed to measles, mumps, rubella, etc. that we are endangering ourselves because of our Graves/autoimmune issues? Someone please clarify for me!! Thanks!
