Hi Judy and the Group,

I talked with Jane (from Texas) yesterday. She had her surgery (2nd ACM

surgery) last Wednesday by Dr. Oro. Everything went very good. She sounded

great!! I just couldn't believe how strong her voice was. She was

dismissed from the hospital yesterday and is now staying at a nearby hotel.

Jane said the dura patch from the 1st surgery was too tight and had begun

growing to her brain (and to the tonsils too I think). She was tired of

course, but was very upbeat. I think she's planning on staying today in

Columbia and then will try to fly home tomorrow if she can get her flight

rearranged.

I am so proud for her and her family, as this condition not only affects

US --- but it affects our families too. I think she should be an

inspiration to all of us who had already had ACM surgery and are still

having problems. There is hope out there for us and I don't think we should

" cut " ourselves short and ever give up. Jane's a " fighter " and we should be

too.

BTW: Just to set the record straight.....Dr. Oro did not do Jane's 1st

surgery. It was done in Texas.
