Guest guest
Rennie, I knew, when I was doing my Rad work, that I'd often transcribed " cardiomediastinum " but couldn't document it at the time of your post. Well, I rifled through ALL my Rad books and finally found it (source: Dorland's Radiology/Oncology Word Brook for MTs - pg. 52 ... lists: cardiomediastinum cardiomediastinal shadow Hope this helps you .... If Stedman's would put all their eggs in one basket, or all their related terms in one book . . . oh, well, it would be too heavy to lift. Guest guest
, COOL! Thank you! I emailed my instructor already but followed up with a " never mind " !! Now it's officially allowed into my custom.dic. I'm very picky about what I let in there. p.s. Jayni, the context *was* cardiomediastinum silhouette. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Career Step Online Student www.careerstep.com Transcribing the Advanced Reports Unit 46/Texas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Re: cardiomediastinum is OK > Rennie, > > I knew, when I was doing my Rad work, that I'd often transcribed > " cardiomediastinum " but couldn't document it at the time of your post. > Well, I rifled through ALL my Rad books and finally found it (source: > Dorland's Radiology/Oncology Word Book for MTs - pg. 52 ... > > lists: cardiomediastinum > cardiomediastinal shadow > > Hope this helps you .... > Shel >
Guest guest
I goofed in my post. The usage *was* cardiomediastinal. Here's an example: " The cardiomediastinal silhouette is unchanged from the prior study. " Sorry about that, Valeria. Re: Re: cardiomediastinum is OK Analyzing that term, I'd say that " cardiomediastinal " is acceptable because it literally translates as " pertaining to the heart and the mediastinum. " I don't think that there is any area of the body called the " cardiomediastinum, " but to be on the safe side, I am forwarding this message to our anatomy and physiology professor, Dr. Charlotte , for her opinion. I believe I'd have transcribed " cardiomediastinal silhouette. " Valeria Rennie wrote: > , COOL! Thank you!
