Does the doctor say what it is used for? Sometimes that helps.

Thanks,

Pattie

If the patient has hypertension, he could be given spironolactone, which is a

diuretic. Could that

be it?

Could it be Micardis? It is an antihypertensive and comes in both 40 mg and 80

mg.

Hi! I found AZO-Standard in the ADI. It is an anti-infective, urinary.

Hope this helps! There is also AZO Negacide Tablets and AZO Wintomylon. :)

drug help

Hi Everyone,

This patient came in with dysuria and frequency of urination and says she's

been taking over-the-counter " A-Zoe " for her symptoms. The doc spelled it

but I can't find it to verify it--this doc is not the most reliable speller

in the world. Has anyone heard of this drug?

Thanks!

Joan

I love the psychiatric speciality. I'd do it or ER work in a minute. There

is never a dull moment with either field!

Deb, Looks to me like the doc mispronounced Xanax, which is definitely an

anti-anxiety drug. Margaret.

In terms of his treatment at this point, he receives S/L Vanax which is an

anti-anxiety medication. I know that there is Xanax, but he is definitely

saying vanax. I could not find it in the PDR. Deb
