Thanks to everyone who sent me mail (and it was a load of mail).

Thanks to all for the prayers and well wishes.

I am day 8 post op and have been home since Tuesday. Nothing

happened that I did not expect. The nsg's pre-op discussion and

Chip's Great Adventure covered just about everything. My pain is

located primarily in the incision area and neck region. The nsg

informed me that since my neck is big (17 1/2 " ) most of my pain would

be located there. She is correct. Other than that, I have be

sticking to the rest, rest, rest mode of recovery. I left the house

yesterday to have the stiches out and that has been it so far. The

nsg has given me permission to start walking next week as long as I

don't try to set goals. Just walk a little and nothing else. I've

read to many stories at this site about doing too much. It this

works, and so far it has; I will do nothing to jeopardize the

recovery and go back to my old life. My next major event is not

until Feb when the wife and I go on a southern caribean cruise. That

gives me a good 8 months to be somewhat recovered.

Again thanks to all for the info and support this group is the

greatest. I will still be hanging around reading and occasionally

posting and keeping in touch.

p.s. I don't know what I'm going to do when the tylox and valium

runout. Cartoons are funny again.
