Hi , I can understand why you'd never want to try dairy again. If you ever

do change your mind there is a way to reintroduce step by step to establish the

gut flora needed to break down the lactose. Some will decide to stay off of

it, but others will want to try reintroducing it. I wish you well on your

journey!

Would liquid coral calcium be good ? I cannot absorb most forms, even calcium citrate. Subject: Re: Serious regression from withdrawlTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, November 8, 2009, 8:52 AM

I really have to supplement calcium in my son. I notice a difference (not a good one) when we run out.

There are those who believe supplemental calcium can be problematic - Yasko and

Tamaro. Have you tested your ionized calcium?

Second week.I'm talking about casein coating the villi.http://blog.glutenfreeworks.com/category/celiac-disease-symptoms/bovine-beta-casein-enteropathy/

Hang in there . Such a strong reaction means you should see great gains when it is out of your system. Casein does eliminate from the body in just a few days, unlike gluten which can take months. Have you tried Activated Charcoal?

I prefer aniracetam because you can take less. Otherwise they work pretty much the same. With aniracetam there's an availability issue, tho. It sells out quick. With Piracetam you can buy bulk powder and cap ur own to make it cheaper although it is relatively reasonable in cost without. Just my 2 cents-

I have tried different *brain boosters* (like piracetam), but they didn't help us. I have also read that some need the right combination, but I haven't looked that far into it. It would be nice to have a supplement to help me focus within 30 min.!

I was a milk addict, as well as my daughter. However, I wonder if it is the milk, or the way they treat the cows (with antibiotics, hormones, bad food, etc) plus the way the milk is processed. We didn't touch dairy for several years, then I introduced some organic cheese, yogurt, etc., and we are OK with it.Maybe our guts healed. However, I am still a chocolate addict - not to chocolate that I eat in other countries or when I eat raw, organic chocolate. I am only addicted to Hershey's, etc. It is my only vice - it is hard getting through the holidays!

, I would recommend NOW Cal-Mag-Vit D powder and put it in smoothies. It

was the calcium my kids tolerated best.

Carol, I had mentioned in another post that with the racetams, brand matters. A lot. If one brand doesn't work, another might. Yes, there is a reason calcium is low and I actually wouldn't worry too much

about supplementing as I would worry about correcting the processes that are

hindering absorption or displacing it. I used to know more on this topic, but I

can't remember. I have just always heard to not worry about calcium too much,

you will get enough as long as your diet is fairly balanced.

Finding the cause of the malabsorption is just what I would like to do.That would involve seeing my doctor a lot more than he is willing to see me. Subject: Re: Serious regression from withdrawlTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, November 8, 2009, 10:20 PM

away from zinc

I have done some reading about taking casein out of milk to make paint. Why wouldn't it possible to make casein free milk products?I know about bovine growth hormone, but might there be other reasons that the dairy products are not the same as it used to be ? Does milk have more casein than it used to ? Subject: Re: Re: Serious regression from withdrawlTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Monday, November 9, 2009, 6:41 PM

Hi a couple of things to think about with Dairy. Casein is hard to

digest, mostly due to it being pasteurized so the molecular structure has

changed. Lactose is also hard to break down because most of us are lacking

the gut flora to break it down. Then there is the issue of the quality of

product coming from the cow which is dependent on how the cow is treated.

These days an abomination in my opinion as our animals are factory herded and

mistreated.

So if you do want to consume dairy some day, you should get raw dairy and you'll

want to ferment it. Raw milk kefir can be made with raw milk and a body ecology

starter.

Many steps of cleaning up the gut would need to take place before you would do

this. Some of the younger kids just by consuming young coconut kefir are able

to recolonize their guts and move to raw milk kefir. Others will need to get

antimicrobials on board, a diet rich in good flora (no sugars, yeasts), and it

will take longer to clean up the gut.

My family is just sticking with raw cultured butter. I'm not sure we'll ever

move back to dairy. We've learned to live without it. Maybe we'd try raw goat

kefir again...maybe
