Guest guest
> Hi, I got my doctor to rewrite my scrip for 50mgs twice a day. I am on 75mgs right now and it is a little strong. (unless I haven't adjusted). I can always increase it later. I POWERWALKED MY DOG TODAY. I haven't been able to do that. I haven't had any joint pain. I still feel the tingles...but heck.. I can deal with that. I am eager to see if I sleep great like last nignt. I got more hours sleep last night than I get in a whole week. This med gives you an euphoric kind of high...and at the same time calms you down. Hard to explain. I read it is also given for GAD (general anxiety disorder). I have that and this med is not only helping my fibro....but my anxiety too. I know I may be jumping the gun as I am very new on this....but after a terrible...aweful...painful...depressing year that I had ...this feels GREAT. If anyone is interested in how this works out please let me know and I will fill you in. The only thing I am worried about is weight gain. Guest guest
I am so glad for you. I myself, need to price it as I have no insurance. But my doc said he would put me on it. I am still thinking about it. Does it help all the exhaustion? Thanks, Debra Gold wrote: > Hi, I got my doctor to rewrite my scrip for 50mgs twice a day. Guest guest
Hi Gold, I just started Lyrica too and am loving the " High " feeling I get. Seems like so long since I had a reason to smile. I'm hoping this lasts. Not necessarily the high, but the very improved pain! I had to work my way up over 6 days and am now taking 250mg twice a day! This was my first day with the higher dose and the feeling is great!! Peace & Love, Vicki > Gold wrote: > > > > Hi, > I got my doctor to rewrite my scrip for 50mgs twice a day. Guest guest
Vicki, I wish I could tell you you will never have pain but flares still happen. If you read any of my postings this past weekend through earlier today you'll know it doesn't prevent them. I still had to use percocet, vicodin, lyrica, ultram, lydoderm patche,s and effexor.(I also have other meds for other chronic illnesses.) It is one of the bests things for fibro I've found. Each med works differently and on different parts of the fibro. I won't give up lyrica either. Guest guest
Vicki, Is your " buzzing " still lasting? Mine buzz wore off; I was taking 300mg nightly. But today I upped, per dr's orders, to 300 mgs AM and PM. I was so buzzing this morning that I could barely drive-- I actually came home early b/c of it. But it is such a pleasant feeling.... Guest guest
Maybe you are getting really hungry in the evening b/c you are swimming? I remember when I swam as a kid (I am only doing gentle warm water movements) I was RAVENOUS afterward. Could your swimming be affecting your appetite? Just a thought!
