Guest guest
Hi Linny, The shell of a silicone gel implant and a saline implant is basically the same. If a woman is reacting to the shell, (and I believe many women sick from saline implants are) then it really doesn't matter what kind of implant you have when it comes to the anti-silicone antibody test. And perhaps it is not the silicone anti-bodies that is the problem. I am beginning to think that the presence of the implant, being a foreign object and therefore a STRESSOR on the adrenals, begins a cascade of endocrine disruptions that affects not only the adrenal glands, but the entire endocrine system, like a house of cards falling down. I say this because of the interrelations between all of the glands in the endocrine system. It seems to me that this is the answer to why so many women have NO abnormal test results, and yet they have a myriad of symptoms, because hormones are generally not tested. And even if they are, it can take years before the symptoms associated with hypo-hormonal states are evident on tests. YEARS!! (According to Dr. Vliet). Which is exactly what happened to me with my thyroid issues. Patty <robinson4963@...> wrote: Ladies, Thank you all for your support and willingness to teach me about this sad situation. I am hoping to get these out before the end of the year. We will see. Depends on my next couple appointments. One with the kidney doc, and the other with my heart doc. Guest guest
Hi Patti, I think the pill my friend was on was called Effexor XR. I am not too familiar with these types of drugs but I can say that whatever it was doing to her basically took her from depressed to self destructive within months. She seemed more depressed then before she went on them. I can understand the whole denial thing, in fact I went through it for a short period but once I found this site, the symptoms and similarities that were going unexplained became very clear, very quickly. I guess the question women have to ask is if their vanity is worth their health. > > > > ~ > > If you are allergic to it, you will have a quicker reaction. > > If you already have a toxic overload due to environment, > > what you eat, chemicals you use, etc.......then your overload > > and immune system will be affected at different rates. > > Everyone is alittle different anyway, and genetically > > predisposed to certain things due to genetics. > > My grandmother had lupus. Guest guest
Unfortunately they can get away with a blind eye because from what I understand there is no direct link as of yet which relives them from any responsibility, or irresponsibility for that matter. I have had countless doctors tell me that I was basically insane to link my symptoms to my implants but it only took a few moments on this site to convince me to rip them. Some things are just not worth finding out first hand. Unfortunately, my husband and family, except for my aunt, think Im overreacting as well and believe the doctors. > > > > Linny ~ > > There are many chemicals that make up > > silicone. Guest guest
Good for you Dede! We do have to trust our instincts, and get connected with people like this group, who are more interested in helping each other than with making money. Maybe some doctors are well meaning and more interested in helping than making money, I don't know. I can't seem to find many. So Dede, what are you doing to help with the hormonal situation? Patty DGRAHAMA@... wrote: Well, unfortunately, these drugs work by altering your hormones, and since they dont test for these, you are getting horrible imbalances and dont even know it. Taken longterm, what does that do? No telling ! ! You know, the doctors had me on 3 different diuretics at a time for my heart, and I still wasnt peeing enough. Not once did they try to find out why, they just kept increasing the crap. It kept making me sicker and sicker with everything from kidney failure to pancreatitis. I took it upon myself to wein off of all of them. I talked my kidney specialist into running the aldosterone and renin tests, then I did the saliva tests with Canary, and wallah ! There is the answer ! I dont have enough anti-diuretic hormones, so no amount of diuretics would have worked. This crap went on for a year and a half.
