WHOA! I mean I have regular daily pain that's bad enough but last

night I felt something coming on and did what I thought were all the

right things but apparently that wasn't enough and BAM!!!!!!! I was

ready to head to the hospital!

Really what can the hospital do? Has anyone ever ended up in the

hospital with a bad flare up? Then I had another this morning!

I was telling my husband that when they subside I feel like my mind

has been screwed with! All I can think is oh my God it's passing, it's

fading - and I think I must be going nuts. Does anyone else feel like

that? Mental?

Now, I'm ready for cake! hahahahah ... I do know that when I go

through pain I want comfort food! Usually Ice Cream ... HEY it helps!

Don't knock it ... or when I go through a huge flare up I don't eat

and then when it subsides I'm starving. Who else, is it just me??!!!!!!

Yes, once. I ended up on a morphine drip for a few hours. It helped, but

of course if a person did that TOO often, they'd be accused of " drug seeking

<rolling my eyes>.

Have you ever tried an injection of Medrol for bad flares? It's helped me

and it's non-narcotic. My PCP doc has done that for me a couple of times

and it made the difference in being a crying mess of pain and being able to

function well enough to go to work.

HTH!
