Guest guest
Call the company and find out whether or not them sell the Prodigy Voice. Some companies don't have it yet. If they do, send it back after they have sent the correct meter. Joyce Can I grumble? I recently signed my partner up with a new provider here in the " Golden State " for her testing supplies because she is on state Medi-Cal (Medicade) as well as Medicare. so where I got my ProdigyVoice is out of state and they might not take state Medi-Cal (Medicade). My complaint is that even though I asked specifically for the ProdigyVoice they sent the Auto code instead. What is the next step in the grievance process? Should I report this to DDI? It seems that many of these product vendors don't have any Idea what the needs of a blind diabetic is, and they could care less. Claude Everett American by chance, Californian by choice. Guest guest
If you asked for the Voice, then that's what they owe you. It's unfortunate since you have to go through the hassle of ordering another meter (the Voice) and returning the wrong one, but you don't have much choice. One of the things you learn with this disease is, when dealing with suppliers or vendors or so called health professionals, you should always assume the other person hasn't a clue what your talking about or what your needs are. There are some exceptions, but most people just don't know. Dave Can I grumble? Guest guest
Oh really? Who's great idea was that? Sounds like subsistence medical care again! Can one pay the mediCal portion for the meter? Guest guest
Hi Claude, If Anne can't help you, I recall you saying that your friend has medi-care. I do believe that Home Care Services of America handles medi-care. Their number is 1-800-3331412. If you still have problems, let me know and I'll find out for you who distributes Prodigy Voice meters in California.
