Hi friends...

Went for my 4 month check up today. My A1c was 6.6, down from 6.7 last

time I was there. The fasting blood sugar from the lab was 118. Blood

pressure was 114/71. :)

Still, my dr would like to see it around 6 so he's increasing my

glucotrol XL from 5 mg in the morning to 10.

So we'll see if that helps.

Maralee,

Your numbers sound great to me, wish mine were so low, but I am running

about 20 higher consistantly.

Do beware of the possibility of getting dangerous lows in the afternoon

on the higher dose of Glucotrol, it has happened to me and it is scary.

Hi ,

With the attitude you will get your A1c down to 6 or below.

Thanks, . He's being very cautious as I only have one kidney (lost

one to cancer). So he wants it to last a long, long time. And so do I!

I'll be careful about the afternoon....i usually have a 'snack' at work

around 4 so maybe that will take care of it.
