I posted a message re: sending off for tests at Great Plains Lab and

today someone posted that they had seen some previous posts about

them not being reliable. I must have missed these posts. Anyone who

has had testing done through this lab please respond before I spend

money we already don't have. What is unreliable about them? Is it the

test itself that is not showing correct results or is it their

reponse to calls etc...I need to know what to do. I thought this was

one of the labs that people used for testing alot. If not where do we

go? Does Great Smokies run the same tests? Confused???!!!

There are several issues. the first is yeast vs yeast metabolites. Their

test is for metabolites, not yeast. This does not mean yeast is not a

problem, just that NO ONE ELSE IS ABLE to replicate this stuff. That is a

BIG tipoff. Many doctors report that in-depth testing have shown that they

have NEVER found yeast in the gut of autistic kids, just cancer and AIDS

patients. We need to really think about that. The organic acids is an ok

test, but the interpretation is what doctors have such problems with - and

of course it's what parents need most. Many docs have sent multiple tests

off to a number of labs and GPL is the only one that consistently comes up

wrong for this test. AAL gets slammed in secretin antibodies, peptides, and

a number of other tests they do. Great Smokies is much better but few buy

their gut dysbiosis index at all! This is one area we intend to hit on at

the next Orlando conference. What's real and what's not so we all stop

wasting time and money. We all live and learn as we go. :)
