Hi Everyone,

I don't remember who first suggested measuring our tummies with toilet

paper, but I finally tried it! OMG, I knew I was huge for 16 weeks (15 when

I measured), I'm 9 squares!!!! Yikes!!!!! Now I know why everyone can tell

that I'm pregnant.

Hey ,

I have to admit that it is kind of funny! The rest of me is still tiny, then there's this big belly (and it's still growing!!!!!)....

Hi ,

Oh, do I look pregnant!!!!! Actually I think I look about a month further along than I am; my doctor said that's common due to the water retention from the IVF drugs. I believe Pam may have mentioned something about being bloated from the stims also.

Since then, I spoke to alot of women who did IVF and all said the "water weight" portion came off very quickly after delivery (usually within 2 weeks), so that was great news! I was really worried about being 60+ lbs. heavier when giving birth. Currently I'm 23 1/2 lbs. heavier than I was prior to conceiving in Nov.'00. Since I weigh myself almost daily, the best I can figure is that approx. 16 lbs. is water weight (was 16 lbs. heavier the day of retrieval). I'm trying not to dwell on it too much, I figure anything is worth having a baby!

,

I think the Monday measure in's is a great idea, however there are differences in sizes of squares so maybe we need to figure out what tp we are using.

Dana,

Good point... ok, I use Charmin... the regular size rolls. I'm not sure what the dimensions are though.

{{{HUGS}}}

PS: About gaining too much too fast... after all the m/s you went through, I'm sure your body was starved! If you have gained anything, I'm sure it will even out soon!

Dana,

Are there really differences in the size of toilet paper squares? That gives me hope.....

Hi Dana,

Your body may just be making up for lost time when you were so nauseous. How are you feeling?
