Guest guest
Hi Guys, Danny continues to do well, however at a much slower pace, compared to surgery #1. He has has a hard time sitting up for more than 10-15 minutes at a time and is constantly laying down and resting for a minute or two, then resuming activity. I spoke with the doc today and he assured me that a slower recovery is normal for a repeat decompression. He told me that cutting through scar tissue makes for tough recuperation. In addition, nausea has really been an issue. Inserting a 4th ventricular stent involves going right into " nausea control " and it is very common for patients to feel nauseous for days, even weeks after surgery. The weirdest complaints are his right ear feeling like *ice* and at other times his forehead feeling very *hot*. Doc could not explain this! I do recall reading a post one time that quirky symptoms appear post-op and that it takes a little time for all the kinks to work out --- am I remembering this correctly?
