First, slow down. Remember what your grandma taught you, chew every

small bit at least twenty times. Hard to break the old " cram it in as

fast as I can " habits....I know....I still struggle with that. And if

that doesn't do it, just quit eating. Another hard habit to break.

You'd think that after over 16 months I'd have a handle on it....but

I'm still trying to break sixty years of bad habits. You're younger,

so maybe you'll get the clue sooner than me.

That happens to me too but on a more serious level like major breast

bone pain and throw up if I inhale my food like the old days

and " forget " I have to chew very good and take small bites. It is an

adjustment for sure but well worth it since I am wearing pants today

I havent been able to get into for 2 yrs!!!

Chasity, try both slowing down and stopping after a few bites. It might be easier if you use a salad plate instead of a large one. I also found after my last fill (3cc.) that I really have to exercise control. I blew it last night, ate too fast, too late at night and had a miserable night, which has translated itself into an uncomfortable day. Part of living with the band is having to adjust your eating. I am nearly 2 years out and I am finding out that it is a day to day thing.

Should I stop eating after thisif I have only had a few bites or should I just slow down? Any advicewould be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Chasity

Most soups and other prepared (especially canned) foods are very

salty. And you're doing exactly the right thing to keep sipping

water. I have a water bottle with me 24/7. It is at my bedside all

night, and when I get up to pee in the middle of the night (sorry if

TMI, but I'm an old geezer, plus I drink a lot of water) I have a

couple of small sips.

We all need AT LEAST two liters/quarts of water a day...preferably

more.

Yes, this is a common reaction when you eat too much. I expereinced it

a few times early on too. 1.5 cups of anytghing at this point is quite

a lot. I'd limit it to 1/2 cup at a time for now, and another half cup

in 1/2 hr if needed.

Hi Kelli

Your problem may be due to not eating as much food altogether so not

needing to go as often but the bloating doesn't really go with that

theory. I have suggested eating about 3 prunes in the morning but now

I just found something new. Activa yogurt has a new flavor with prunes

in it. It says on the box it is guaranteed to " work " whatever that

means.

I think I will try that Activa yogurt, maybe that will keep my

digestive system going. I know I haven't eaten any yogurt in awhile

cause I just cant eat that much. However, what I have used Thanks to

Craig's daughter...GasX strips that melt in your mouth...it released

all the gas and I felt so much better. I totally endorse GasX

strips, they taste good (Cinnanmon) one and it works so good. I was

just in heaven not feeling so bloated and pressured. Thanks for the

idea of the yogurt...will let you know how it works. TTFN!

Yes, I have the strange sensations in my head also. I hate it. It

feels like there a a million little bugs crawling around. I also have

it in my ears where it feels like I have ear wax build up. If I do a

lot of detoxing, the sensation is usually worse for a day or so. I am

not sure what causes it but I just chalk it up to toxins in the brain

that are being removed and the brain cells are regenerating. I can't

wait to get more concentration and focus back.

Thanks for the topic
