Guest guest
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is IPT. Perhaps if you don't use the acronym, I will know. Thanks, Laurie > Some one posted questions about IPT. They were thinking of doing this. I see no feedback on it. Does anyone else know much? A family member is not doing well with metastatic CA. Would this help him? > > We are all so frustrated with lack of results, help is needed. > > Thank you so much for any help you may have. (We read some infor on it. It is expensive. I have a very serious question to ask about acolo-rectal cancer patient who posted here. My other sister who wrote knows as little as I do about NG's. All I can tell you is this is not a joke. We even tried to contact the Modertor and it came back undeliverable.Thank you for your understanding in this. (There has been much upsetment here in our family.)Sincerely,Dottie
Guest guest
I suppose by " NG " you mean ng, like a (measure 5.0 ng/ml) For example: " Although CEA can be above normal in smokers (usually less than 5.0 ng/ml) and in patients with significant liver disease, an elevation to 9.1 in a patient with a history of elevating CEAs with recurrent disease is very consistent with subclinical recurrence of cancer. " Now by " inforon " I suppose you mean " interferon " ; go to the ref: http://www.colorectal-cancer.net/recurrentcoloncancer.htm and scroll down to " Treatment of Colon Cancer to Multiple Sites " there you will read: " The biologic agent interferon has also been added to fluoracil and leucovorin. The addition of interferon did not prolong patient's survival and may have diminished patient's quality of life " Hope this helps.
