Pam,

Have fun tonight! It should be really interesting to hear about all

of the different birthing options!

I hope your appt goes well tomorrow. Hopefully the " pain " you have is

just gas and/or constipation or it could just be the uterus

stretching. I'll be praying for nothing but wonderful AFP results

too!

Thanks, Elle. I appreciate it. I think I have kind of been holding off on buying anything until my next u/s. I don't know, I am still alittle nervous and don't want to jinx anything. I know that must sound silly but I do need to go to bookstore. ----- Original Message -----,Another really good book for real pictures and stages of developement is "A Child Is Born" by Lennart Neilson.elle> > > Elle> > > Thanks! Hi there! Well, this might be too much information...but my dh spends, lets say sometime in the bathroom and reads...so I leave things in there that he will pick up and read. When I joined the ep group and we were having a hard time understanding how the other was dealing with our feelings, I printed a couple of post and he quietly read them and than came to be with questions and thoughts. (worked for us!) I know it is hard because my dh owns his own business and puts alot of time in and doesn't always enjoy just picking up a book and reading it! Re: Re: Elle > I bought my DH a wonderful book called "She's Having A Baby And I'm> Having A Breakdown". It is very informative, but also has humor to it> and is written speciafically for Dad's-to-be. He has really enjoyed> it and it has helped him through some of my worrying and nervousness.Hi Elle,How did you get Mark to read it? I can't get to read anything! Hewill be somewhat tolerable if I read to him, and will lay perfectly still ifI rub his back while I'm reading! It's really tough because he works somany hours that when he finally comes home, he doesn't want to think at all.maria13 weeks

Pam Hi there. Quick question, what is AFP? Also, you say the peeing frequency is suppose to subside some, when? I was just wondering. I am worried about that. I have had problems with my bladder since my ep surgery (12-00) and have seen several drs with no answers. I was on meds that helped take feeling away but obviously, I am not taking them anymore. Since the surgery I feel like I have to go 24hrs a day and am worried that with being pg that it will get worse (not that it really can be at this point) Anyway, thanks. ----- ElleThe books I read said 18-22 to. I was talking to an ob/gyn I know and he said it could even be up to 24 weeks. I had my AFP test last Thursday. I am not sure how long it takes to get the results. I have been tossing and turning all night to. I read that you should sleep with a pillow between your legs. I wonder if that would help. I was going to ask you if you still pee a lot in the middle of the night. One of my books said that it should be going away now but I have not noticed a difference. I called the dr about the pain I am feeling. Its really not even a pain because I don't feel it all the time. It just feels like a pulled muscle. The nurse said it could even be gas and if it doesn't go away in a couple of days to call. I will ask at my dr appt tomorrow if its still bothering me. I also feel somewhat constipated today and wonder if it could be from that.We are going to this mini maternity fair tonight. Then there is a lecture on different kinds of birthing. Pam17 weeks

There is nothing like in the world. I remember everytime I went to the dr how relieved I was to hear that sweet sound. I'm sure it will be the same for you.

Re: Elle susan,I am so happy for you sweetie! I am small as well, so maybe that has something to do with it, I don't know.....I have never heard that they won't let you hear the heartbeat during the first trimester. I can't imagine why they would be at risk for letting you hear the heartbeat. Then again, I don't know.......Take care and enjoy this time!elle19 weeks 2 days> > > Hi ,> > > Congratulations on a great doctor's appointment!!!!> > > maria> > >

Hey there...

You are right, picking names can be challenging! Especially if you are going to wait to find out the sex at delivery. You have to have two names ready to go! But, hey that's one of the fun things about waiting for baby!!! I've had Emma Grace in my head since I first became pregnant after Olivia. And, it's just kinda stuck! I guess I must really like it since that's been 5 years!

Hi Elle,

I'm working sorta hard, still have a little time to post though!!! :) As

long as I'm busy I don't think about being home as much, that's probably

a good thing. I bet you will love your 3D ultrasound! I saw the show

with Regis and , and you could see a really clear picture of the

baby's face!! It looked a little squashed though, understandibly...
