Guest guest
Welcome aboard Ann. It is good to see you here. I, too, am a type2 diabetic, formerly on oral medications for 16 years, but for over three years now I am an insulin dependent type2 diabetic. The people here taught me how to master blood sugar control, and they are also credited with providing advice to me that saved my leg from amputation. With their help I taught my doctor how to treat a diabetic. If you wish to master bs control, you have certainly come to the right place. Experts and novices reside here. If you know how to count, then all you lack is knowledge, and we certainly know what you need to know. We look forward to sharing with you. Guest guest
Wow!, It sounds like your family has experienced the double whammy, since both you and your husband are both diabetics. It is important to know the exact name of your medication and dosage prescribed. So let us know what it is. Get someone to read and spell out the exact name of your tablets on the package and their prescribed usage. Do you and your husband bs test frequently? While some diabetics are not required to take medications for bs control, it is rare to avoid further diabetic progression without close monitoring. Encourage any diabetic to take his bs sugar levels seriously. They should at least be informed. At least they will know what to do, when diabetic complications set in, which unfortunately is practically always inevitable. hallo hallo my name is ann and i am type 2 diabetic. i live in england and am looking to reading and taking part in the emails cheers

Guest guest
Hi, I'm Vicki Breffe, and have read your intro letters but this is the first time I am writing to you, Anne. I take my blood most days 3 times. I get upset when I have been eating a big meal and wonder how it got so high. that is a good upset. I know that that meal doesn't work for me, and I had better lowermy ammount next time. Now, ignorance is bliss and I could skip the test and think I was doing terrific. That that stuff doesn't work well for diabetes, save that for any teachers and tests you may have and hope you can fudge a little. The meters do not lie, and that is a good thing.
