Starting out with one tab a day MIGHT be too much.. if taking a whole tab for a few days makes you feel like doing cartwheels and running marathons it may be too much... Play it by ear and see how you feel. I feel the best time to take it is first thing in the morning. I take it as soon as I wake, along with my first dose of natural thyroid. I pop both under my tongue and as soon as they have dissolved (or just the 'sludge' is left) I chow down breakfast. Remember... we need breakfast as soon as possible when working on resting and healing adrenals and to keep conversion going.
