: I am not familiar with your symptoms but i read a post where someone

had a similar problem and it sort of wore off. Seems she had an alergic

reaction. Who

told you that it was terminal and how are your blood panel readings.? I would

seek

a second opinion. Where do you live? Any major Cancer Center or University

associated hospital? You should not have to suffer the pain you are feeling.

This

is the miracle season, lets hope all the prayers on the board will help you

find your miracle. We will start right now, peace and hope. Have faith so many

people here

have survived that someone may be able to answer you. Hugs and God Bless

Joyce: were you using celebrex? Long term was good for R/A instead of Vioxx

but

hard on the thought process. Sometimes STRESS is to blame and you need to

stop and smell the roses a bit. This is a beautiful but hectic season and we

all

need r & r. Sometimes small clots are to brain or a small stroke that you

hardly

notice. Do you have a personal or primary physician? Sometimes someone who

doesn't see you all the time will see something different and can help solve

the

problem. Just a thought. hugs, peace, hope and faith They keep us going. Nick &

, I'm sorry to hear of your situation. Especially that it appeared you

might have been out of the woods! That's how this nasty disease seems to work.

i was Dx 12-2002 as stage IV with mets to the liver. I also experienced the

lack of concentration and forgetfulness while on 5fu,leucocarin and cpt11. by

the way i'm only 44 yrs old. In Oct. I started a drug called Oxaliplatin by IV

thru a port implant in my chest and Xeloda(a pill). The side-effects are very

minor for me campared to the cpt11. I have cold-sensitivity for a few days.

Some patients have numb fingers and/or feet also. I havn't experienced that

problem yet after 6 treatments. Has your oncologist mentioned these drugs to

you?

Hi ,

Welcome to the list. I'm 25 (almost 26) and have had type 1 diabetes since I

was 9 years old. I'm from British Columbia, so it's nice to see another

Canadian on the list! *smile* I just started using an insulin pump this year

and *love* it. I'm curious, why did you go from a pump back to injections?

frustrates my husband to no ind. Me too!! I get bored and frustrated and

need some advice. Rod,My husband works long hours and I spend most of my

time alone and need something to do. I used to be an

artist, drawing, painting, and crafting things, now I don't know what to do. So,

anyone wants to help me out mail me.I'd prefer to get advice from women of

my own age group, but any age is OK. Or if you just want to talk, that's

good too.

Hi Carol,

Where do you live? I live in the L.A. area, so have lots of things to do,

but I know more rural areas probably do not the advantages we have here in

L.A.

For entertainment at home, I am addicted to the computer! I also read and

daily try to take a walk. The local Dial-a-ride can take me most anywhere

locally and the County Para transportation system can and does take me

anywhere in L.A. county. I am also active in a national blind organization.

There are 2 national blind organizations and they have chapters in most

every State.

Congrats on the kidney/pancreas transplant. I have not gone into kidney

failure (despite 63 years of type 1 diabetes), so don't have that option,

but I use a pump.

Carol, wlcome aboard! There is adjustments as you know that will come about.

Do you cook? At least you have a computer that is some company. Do you have

talking books yet? Where do you live? Depending on the state you are in lots

of time Blind Services can help or there may be a Club that help others who are

blind. Take care for now. and Joe

Carel,

Welcome to our group. Congratulations on not being a diabetic any longer. I'm

46 and enjoy spending time with our 8-year-old son, reading, cooking, and

spending time on this computer. Once in a while my husband and I take a bike

ride. with our son. Of course, Dennis and I ride a tandem. HTH. I'm looking

forward to getting to know you.
