Guest guest
I live in NJ I have seen Pork Rinds in Super fresh, Seven Eleven and WAWA . If your store does not carry them . Ask the manager if they can bring some in. I usually see them with the Potato Chips and other salted snacks. Hope this helps and good luck Jeff. Guest guest
, They are in supermarkets. I think Fritolay makes some. The ingredients should be pork skins. oil and salt. Do not buy flavored ones. In Ontario, Canada, " No Name " are made by Sunfresh for Loblaws and No Frills stores. Pork rinds can be used to dip like chips, and if you don't use yogurt you can make dips using mayo. When I learned at an SCD Potluck Luncheon that they were legal, I really went to town with them and got sick of them. Guest guest
I might be wrong but IIRC pork rinds are the same thing as chittlerings or " chitlins " which again IIRC are rendered pork intestines. Am I wrong? -------------------------------------- No, No, No! There are not chitlins or chitterlings. !! They are made from the rinds, or layers of fat that have been fried, making them crisp. Guest guest
So I'm guessng that chitlins aren't OK too. No grits, biscuits, milk gravy, and now no chitlins. What's a poor Southern (Ontario) boy to do? > > > > I might be wrong but IIRC pork rinds are the same thing as > chittlerings or " chitlins " which again IIRC are rendered pork > intestines. Guest guest
Come on. They don't even OFFER grits north of Columbus, Ohio!!!! And you sure as hell can't get a quality biscuit. ;-) C Re: Pork rinds So I'm guessng that chitlins aren't OK too. No grits, biscuits, milk gravy, and now no chitlins.
