Guest guest
we lost our seizers in 24 hours of starting the diet, as well as all head banging. Question about improvements. Has anybody else had improvements in the autism, and other neurological problems, seizures, etc. ,but not seen any improvement in the GI or other coexisting medical problems? Guest guest
Seizures in youngest was due to allergic reactions. Rxns to shots, sunscreen, and dairy and when food was introduced at 6 months (carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash, no grains, nothing else). Haven't seen seizures in over a year. She is almost 3 1/2. Still short, diarrhea, and poor hair growth. Everything else is going well. The other two, changed their diets at 15 months and 34 months. No wheat, milk, corn, sugar, eggs, soy, and yeast. The change was dramatic with both talking in a week and no more headbanging. Two years later, removed all gluten and a year and a half ago, all dairy. We had been doing goat yogurt and cheese in rotation as we thought it was just food allergies. Rotation diet for almost 7 years now. We had suspected autism, but when they improved so much with diet, thought that was all there was to it. It isn't. About a year ago or so, no dyes, preservatives, very few processed foods, no nuts, no tomatoes (IgE), and oh so much more. Still only minor to moderate improvement in the GI tract on my little one. It is very slow progress, but it is progress. She is now up to 10mg of biotin twice a day. I believe biotin has offered her gut the most help and Kombucha second. Kombucha has helped more than probiotics. Guest guest
Hi, My neighbor's son had all autism traits. No talking, then VERY speech delayed. He also had tons of sensory issues, agression, social problems, etc. My neighbor did tons of sensory stuff with him, lots of exercise and being outside, lots of social situations, etc. This boy does not display any autism symptoms anymore. He is not delayed in any areas. My neighbor says he has a few sensory things still like wanting to push his feet against things, but nothing at all would qualify him for a diagnosis. This being said.......... My neighbor (who does not do any biomed) keeps dragging him from dr to dr to dr. She cannot figure out for the life of her why he hasn't gained weight in like 2 yrs. He is in the 5th percentile for weight. He has a distended belly. He had chronic diarrhea for a LONG time, he has exzema and he runs random fevers at night. He also has horrible allergies. His physical issues are a mess. He is a very happy and social and talkative little boy who just happens to still be very ill on the inside.... > > Has anybody else had improvements in the autism, and other neurological > problems, seizures, etc. ,but not seen any improvement in the GI or > other coexisting medical problems? > > > > >
