Guest guest
I had to go to the psych last Thursday. it was a rough morning and I was having trouble getting with it. By the time my brother arrived, I was ready (I can't drive right now). We got in his truck (and the humidity was killing me). We got down the road and he told me he turned off the air conditioner because he didn't want my feet to get too cold (they feel cold on the inside all the time from the neuropathy). I looked down at my feet and squealed. I still had my Tigger slippers on! It was too late to go back and get shoes, but it was way too funny. We both laughed so hard we had tears rolling down our faces. I guess because I can't feel my feet, I just didn't notice. I got to my appointment and told her about it and she laughed. I was telling her that I keep an emergency kit with me when I'm going to be gone for awhile. usually Gatorade mixed with water, my vitamins and meds, and I always keep the packets of the cheese crackers with peanut butter in a case for glasses. it's a perfect fit and stops them from getting squished in the purse. I opened the glass case to show her and squealed again. there were glasses in the glass case. She didn't understand my shock. I told her I had been looking for my sunglasses, but didn't look in there because I was convinced it was my peanut butter and crackers. Brain blip #2. We came back to my house to clean it because the realtor was going to show it at 4:00. I had a 3:00 appt. with my therapist. We cleaned and I was exhausted, but on a roll so I didn't want to stop. On the way back to the Health Center, there were chickens in someone's yard. I don't like chickens because they scare me. a bunch attacked me when I went to feed them one time. Anyway we were saying what I would do if I had someone else's chickens in my yard. For some reason I just blurted out, " Bring me their livers!!!! Such is the order of the Queen. " I'm still having my chicken liver cravings, but not as bad as before. My brother completely lost it. I thought we were going to get into an accident because he was laughing so hard. It sure was nice to be able to laugh at things for a change. and boy, did we laugh. I know I'm a little nuts, but it was a funny day and far from the crying, shaking and hyperventilating I was doing last Sunday. Gosh I have a strange sense of humor.
