Guest guest
Hello I was going over criteria for vit A therapy . Does my son fit megsons criteria. Well I have sister and aunt with adenoma of the thyroid. She write one of the first improvements with the Vit A is the disappearance of the sideways glance. Yes I have noticed that already. my son has stopped the sideways glance. one of the first things i noticed. I started vit A therapy at the same time as gf/cf diet. When i looked up acetylcholine , a neurotransmitter i found it can be blocked by atropine, in the same drug category as atrovent, which is what my son has for asthma. Urocholine can stimulate the post-synaptic cell membranes via receptors for acetylcholine. So I am sitting here wondering hum maybe acetylcholine was blocked or turned off by atrovent and maybe acetylcholine can be turned back on or unblocked by urocholine.??????? This is from last night and my great relavations that keep me up all night. Anyway I find this to be interesting that he does fit criteria. Another thing that I find so interesting is how Vit A works in the bodys immune system where i think all this stuff begins. megson writes vit A is necessary for natural killer cell funtion and no other nutritional deficiancy in the aminal kingdom is more consistently synergistic with INFECTION than that of Vit A. Palimate needs intact gut mucosal surfaces at the right ph in the presence of bile for metabolism. BUT IF THERE IS UNRECOGNIZED WHEAT ALLERGY OR INTOLERANCE THE VIT A DOES NOT DO THE JOB. Thats where clo comes in. Dietary sources of acetylcholine may make these kids feel better gotta go look up dietary sources . I think potatoes, soy lecthiten, ??? not sure. anyone know some good sources. Urocholine is given for Reflux and my son had or still has reflux maybe when i go see his gastro in a few weeks I will ask her to try this. kelly
Guest guest
Megson recommends vitamin A in the form of Cod Liver Oil. I would have vitamin A levels tested before starting CLO, though. It can be toxic if overdone, as the body stores the excess rather than excreting it. Amy in MI
