Guest guest
Dear Friends Of course I am not completely sure about this answer so PLEASE ask your doctor about it. This is just based on what I have read but know I could be wrong. Sometimes, some people's tonsils are covered over by very important arteries of the neck. Sometimes years of compression displaces these arteries and they loop around the tonsils. I think maybe your doctor felt it could be dangerous to remove some of the tonsil if a vascular loop was around the tonsils. What if they damaged the artery? BUT PLEASE ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THIS.
